Besides your course fees, there may be other costs you could incur, including living expenses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tuition fees<\/h2>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n        role=\"complementary\"\n        aria-label=\"Accordion content\"\n        data-segment=\"dom\">\n\n                \n\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Tuition-\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Tuition-\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Tuition-\">Tuition <\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Tuition-\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Before you start your degree, consider how much your course will cost.\u00a0At Curtin, tuition fees are charged by the undergraduate or postgraduate course units taken per study period and not by the entire course or by the mode of delivery. Fees remain the same for units whether they are delivered online or on-campus.<\/p>\n<p>Commonwealth-supported undergraduate places are available to students who are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Australian citizens<\/li>\n<li>New Zealand citizens<\/li>\n<li>Australian permanent resident visa holders<\/li>\n<li>Australian humanitarian resident visa holders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are eligible, the Australian Government will pay a certain percentage of your tuition fees. You will be required to pay the remaining tuition fees for each course unit that you take, which\u00a0will vary depending on the type of course you are studying.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Domestic-full-fee-paying-place\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Domestic-full-fee-paying-place\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Domestic-full-fee-paying-place\">Domestic full fee paying place<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Domestic-full-fee-paying-place\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>A domestic full fee paying place is a place that is not subsidised by the Australian government. If you are enrolled as a domestic full fee paying student, you must pay the full cost of your course.<\/p>\n<p>You may be eligible to use a FEE-HELP loan to pay your fees, if you meet the relevant criteria. You can find more information about FEE-HELP loan criteria on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.curtin.edu.au\/essentials\/fees\/paying-your-fees\/commonwealth-supported\/\">Commonwealth supported Places and HELP loans<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Contribution-exempt-place\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Contribution-exempt-place\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Contribution-exempt-place\">Contribution exempt place<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Contribution-exempt-place\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>If you are enrolled in a contribution exempt place, your fees are paid to Curtin by the Australian government through the Commonwealth Grant Scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Curtin currently offers contribution exempt places in a number of courses.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/fees\/understanding-your-fees\/tuition-fees\/\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Not-for-degree\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Not-for-degree\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Not-for-degree\">Not-for-degree<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Not-for-degree\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>If you complete individual units at Curtin, rather than a full course leading to a recognised qualification, you will be enrolled as a not-for-degree student.<\/p>\n<p>As a not-for-degree student you must pay your full fees upfront when you enrol. If you don\u2019t pay your fees upfront, your enrolment will be cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Your student contribution must be paid by the requested date, called the \u2018census date\u2019.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Non-tuition-fees\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Non-tuition-fees\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Non-tuition-fees\">Non-tuition fees<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Non-tuition-fees\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Keep in mind there may be some incidental costs\u00a0specific to your course. For example, if your study involves using a laboratory, you may need a lab coat, safety glasses and gumboots. Or, if you take a jewellery design unit, you will need to pay for some of the materials you use. These are called incidental fees.<\/p>\n<p>Your tuition fees do not cover the cost of some additional items required for studying a particular unit or course, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Textbooks<\/li>\n<li>Incidental fees for items such as laboratory coats or art supplies<\/li>\n<li>First aid courses<\/li>\n<li>Police clearance or Working with Children Check<\/li>\n<li>Field trips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You may also incur day-to-day expenses while attending university, and will need to\u00a0plan your budget\u00a0around your personal circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the incidental fees for specific courses, contact the relevant head of school or course coordinator in your intended area of study.
