Welcome to beautiful Perth \u00ad\u2013 known as Boorloo <\/em>by the Whadjuk Nyungar people. Perth is a safe and prosperous city established on the Swan River, which flows into the Indian Ocean. As Australia\u2019s fastest growing city, and one of the nation\u2019s most multicultural centres, Perth offers a range of entertainment options and diverse ic cultural cuisine.<\/p>

A quarter of the world\u2019s population lives in the same time zone as Perth (GMT+8), which includes cities such as Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>

Exciting venues<\/h2>

Optus Stadium is Perth\u2019s largest entertainment and sporting venue. It won the Prix Versailles 2019 Sports Award and was awarded the title of the most beautiful sporting facility in the world. In the city centre, Yagan Square, named after a 19th century Nyungar leader, is a popular meeting point, offering easy access to a range of restaurants, bars, hotels and clubs, and a variety of global cuisine. Along the riverside, Elizabeth Quay offers many exciting seasonal events.<\/p> \n\n \n\n

Magnificent weather<\/strong> <\/h2>

Perth is Australia\u2019s sunniest state capital city, averaging more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. To make the most of the beautiful weather, many locals head to Perth\u2019s scenic beaches during summer. The Swan Valley, with its world-class wineries, cheese shops, chocolate factories and breweries, is also a popular destination.<\/p> \n\n \n \n

Unique nature and wildlife<\/strong><\/h2>

Perth has many magnificent parks and gardens. Kings Park, which is larger than New York\u2019s Central Park, showcases more than 3,000 species of Western Australia\u2019s unique flora. Caversham Wildlife Park has many Australian animals, including kangaroos that visitors can handfeed. Rottnest Island, just 20 kilometres offshore, is home to the world-famous quokka.<\/p> \n\n \n\n

Western Australia has many wonderful regions and towns that offer unique visitor experiences. The town of Margaret River, in the state\u2019s south-west, is a world-class wine-making and surf region. North of Perth, Monkey Mia and Ningaloo Reef are famous for its snorkelling, dolphins and whale shark tours.
