The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.homeaffairs.gov.au\/\">Australian Department of Home Affairs<\/a> requires you to maintain OSHC for the full duration of your student visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you arrive, your OSHC helps you access healthcare when you need it. Your offer letter will include the cost of Medibank Comprehensive OSHC based on your course and visa duration. If you accept your offer and pay your deposit and OSHC fee, Curtin will arrange your Medibank cover for you.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n                    \n                                \n                        <\/article>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/mimas-block>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I get my OSHC card?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve purchased Medibank Comprehensive OSHC through Curtin, your policy certificate will be sent to your student email once your cover is arranged. This includes severe injury, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or situations where you need immediate medical care.<\/p>\n<p>For life-threatening emergencies, call 000 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.<\/p>\n<p>Remember to take your OSHC card or membership details with you if possible. Hospital and ambulance services may be covered by your OSHC, depending on your policy.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n                    \n                                \n                        <\/article>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/mimas-block>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to access mental health support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, homesick or struggling, OSHC can help cover mental health support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Medibank OSHC has waived waiting periods for mental health services, including for pre-existing conditions.
