Outline

Adopting a global mindset, students will develop knowledge and understanding of business or law in a complex international setting. The unit provides students with an authentic learning experience designed to develop strategies for dealing with current and emerging global problems. Study Tour is designed to be an immersive experience providing students with an opportunity to interact with industry, government, and community stakeholders and develop cultural insights. This unit will appeal to students from a range of disciplines providing rich opportunities for students to learn about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals from both the academic program, and peers who may be from outside your own discipline. You’ll develop knowledge in a challenging international context, and understand how cultural, legal, economic, environmental, political and technological forces impact in culturally diverse environments. By participating in this unit, you’ll develop professional relationships with learners, industry and community, develop cultural capability, enhance critical thinking, and openness to new ideas and application of concepts.

  • develop knowledge, awareness, and understanding of business or law in a complex and changing international context
  • synthesise an enhanced appreciation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the context of a region and an identified business project
  • analyse and evaluate key business concepts and theories, and assess the practical application of the Sustainable Development Goals in the context of an identified business project
  • explain the interdisciplinary challenges in, and approaches to, addressing and overcoming social and environmental challenges at the host location GC1
