{"id":8462,"date":"2021-11-19T14:51:55","date_gmt":"2021-11-19T06:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/student-essentials\/it\/guides\/student-email-help\/set-up-email-on-your-mobile-device\/"},"modified":"2025-03-14T16:36:35","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T08:36:35","slug":"mobile","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/it\/guides\/email\/mobile\/","title":{"rendered":"Set up email on your mobile device"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There are two ways to access your student email on your mobile device:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access your student email in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oasis.curtin.edu.au\/\">OASIS<\/a>\u00a0on Android, iOS or Windows where you will be automatically signed in through the &#8220;Open your OASIS email&#8221; link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download and use the Microsoft Outlook mail client on iOS and Android, which is free for all current students and can be used on up to five devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use your smart phone to access information in your Office 365 account through Exchange ActiveSync. This connection keeps your mobile phone up to date with your mailbox through a process known as synchronisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setup instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n        role=\"complementary\"\n        aria-label=\"Accordion content\"\n        data-segment=\"all\">\n\n                \n\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-IOS-and-Android\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"IOS-and-Android\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-IOS-and-Android\">IOS and Android<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"IOS-and-Android\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <ol>\n<li>Download and install\u00a0<strong>Microsoft Outlook<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/au\/app\/microsoft-outlook\/id951937596\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple App Store<\/a>, or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&amp;hl=en_AU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Play Store<\/a><\/li>\n<li>If you have existing accounts, navigate to\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u00a0by opening the menu (the Settings icon is located bottom left corner of the screen)<\/li>\n<li>Enter your email address in the following format: studentID@<strong>student.<\/strong>curtin.edu.au<br \/>\ne.g.\u00a0<em>12345678@student.curtin.edu.au<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Continue<\/strong>.
