{"id":7965,"date":"2021-11-19T11:25:16","date_gmt":"2021-11-19T03:25:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/student-essentials\/it\/guides\/estudent-help\/my-enrolment\/"},"modified":"2024-04-30T15:32:53","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T07:32:53","slug":"my-enrolment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/it\/guides\/estudent\/my-enrolment\/","title":{"rendered":"My Enrolment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Within the My Enrolment tab you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View your current enrolment details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email a PDF copy of your student email to your student email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrol in units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Withdraw from units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View any requisite waivers you have been granted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n        role=\"complementary\"\n        aria-label=\"Accordion content\"\n        data-segment=\"all\">\n\n                \n\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Current-enrolment-details\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Current-enrolment-details\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Current-enrolment-details\">Current enrolment details<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Current-enrolment-details\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Your current enrolment shows the units that you are enrolled in for your chosen study plan for the current academic year.<\/p>\n<p>If you are enrolled in a unit at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/academic-calendar\/\" rel=\"noopener\">census date<\/a>\u00a0you will be liable for fees and the unit will show on your Academic Transcript.<\/p>\n<p>If the unit does not appear in your current enrolment details, you are not enrolled.<\/p>\n<p>Select\u00a0<strong>Email my Enrolment Advice<\/strong>\u00a0to send a PDF copy to your student email.\u00a0 If you have registered for classes your enrolment advice will contain your timetable information.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Enrol-in-units\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Enrol-in-units\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Enrol-in-units\">Enrol in units<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Enrol-in-units\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Enrolment is the process where you select the units you want to study in a particular study period.\u00a0 Depending on the study plan and enrolment advice for your specific course you may enrol in the following types of units:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Core units\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; these are compulsory units for your course or major. If you do not enrol in and pass these units, you cannot complete your enrolled course.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Optional units<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; these are units intended for your selected course or major. You will be required to enrol in and pass a selection of these units, the choice of which is up to you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elective units<\/strong>&#8211; these are units that can be from any school or department as long as the requisites have been met. It is recommended that you select units relevant to your course.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alternate core units<\/strong>&#8211; Alternate units are a special type of core unit. Your study plan will already have a unit listed as a core unit or you can select the alternate unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Unit-withdrawal\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Unit-withdrawal\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Unit-withdrawal\">Unit withdrawal<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Unit-withdrawal\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Before you withdraw from a unit it is important that you consider your decision carefully and refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/managing-your-course\/withdrawal\/\" rel=\"noopener\">guide for withdrawing<\/a>\u00a0for guidance and support.<\/p>\n<p>If the unit you withdraw from has one or more\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/askcurtinfaq.custhelp.com\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/1304\/\" rel=\"noopener\">co-requisite units<\/a>\u00a0you will automatically be withdrawn from those as well.<\/p>\n<p>To withdraw:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Click the checkbox<\/strong>\u00a0next to the unit you want to withdraw from and then click\u00a0<strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Check the withdraw information and then click\u00a0<strong>Withdraw<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If your withdrawal is successful a green tick will be displayed.<\/li>\n<li>Then click\u00a0<strong>Withdraw from another unit<\/strong>\u00a0to continue or\u00a0<strong>View enrolled units<\/strong>\u00a0to check your enrolment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are withdrawing from all of your units you may also need to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/managing-your-course\/withdrawal\/\" rel=\"noopener\">withdraw from your course<\/a>\u00a0or apply for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/managing-your-course\/leave-of-absence\/\" rel=\"noopener\">leave of absence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After you have successfully withdrawn from a unit you can confirm your enrolment on the current enrolment page and email your enrolment advice for your records. If you have withdrawn from all your units you will not be able to email your enrolment advice.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Requisite-waiver\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Requisite-waiver\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Requisite-waiver\">Requisite waiver<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Requisite-waiver\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>A waiver can be recorded on your record to allow you to enrol in a unit when the prerequisite has not been studied.<\/p>\n<p>To apply for a requisite waiver speak to your unit coordinator or for support and assistance contact\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/askcurtinfaq.custhelp.com\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/1721\" rel=\"noopener\">Curtin Connect<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n        \n<\/mimas-block>\n\n\n<p>Other things you may need to know:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"accordions__container\"><div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-How-to-generate-your-enrolment-advice\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"How-to-generate-your-enrolment-advice\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-How-to-generate-your-enrolment-advice\">How to generate your enrolment advice<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"How-to-generate-your-enrolment-advice\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p style=margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;>To generate your Enrolment Advice:<\/p>\n<p style=margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;>1. Log into <a href=https:\/\/oasis.curtin.edu.au\/ target=_blank>OASIS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;>3. Click on the&nbsp;<strong>eStudent&nbsp;<\/strong>tile.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;>4. Click on the <strong>My Enrolment<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<p style=margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;>5. Click on <strong>Email my Enrolment Advice<\/strong>.&nbsp;This will send a copy of your Enrolment Advice to your preferred email account. Please allow approximately 5 minutes for the document to be emailed to you.<\/p>\n<p>The Enrolment Advice will show&nbsp;the units you are enrolled in, as well as&nbsp;the dates and times your classes run. Only units that you are currently enrolled in will appear on this document. Future units that you are yet to enrol in, as well as units that have been graded, will be excluded.
