Typically, a unit at Curtin is worth 25 credit points, however it does vary &#8211; you will be able to check your units and the associated credit point weighting using&nbsp;eStudent&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/oasis.curtin.edu.au\/\" rel=\"noopener\">OASIS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Your enrolment study load is directly related to the course you are enrolled. This information is outlined in the Curtin courses handbook under the Course Structure heading.<\/p>\n<p>A full-time study load for the majority of courses is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 credits each semester<\/li>\n<li>75 credits each trimester<\/li>\n<li>50 credits each Uni term<\/li>\n<li>50 credits each OUA study period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n        role=\"complementary\"\n        aria-label=\"Accordion content\"\n        data-segment=\"all\">\n\n                \n\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Registered-full-time-duration-or-course-length\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Registered-full-time-duration-or-course-length\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Registered-full-time-duration-or-course-length\">Registered full-time duration or course length<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Registered-full-time-duration-or-course-length\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>The registered full time duration or course length is the expected time it will take you to complete your course if you study full time. This information is provided in the Curtin Courses Handbook just below the course title or under duration and availability.<\/p>\n<p>The course length is used to determine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The maximum length of time that you are permitted to complete your course and receive your award.<\/li>\n<li>The duration specified on an electronic confirmation of enrolment (eCoE), issued if you are studying in Australia on an international student visa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Minimum-study-load-for-student-visa-or-Centrelink\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Minimum-study-load-for-student-visa-or-Centrelink\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Minimum-study-load-for-student-visa-or-Centrelink\">Minimum study load for student visa or Centrelink<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Minimum-study-load-for-student-visa-or-Centrelink\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>If you are an international student on a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/personal-support\/international\/\" rel=\"noopener\">student visa<\/a>\u00a0or a domestic student in receipt of a payment from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.humanservices.gov.au\/individuals\/services\/centrelink\/austudy\/eligibility\/study-loads\" rel=\"noopener\">Centrelink<\/a>, you are required to maintain a minimum study load to ensure you meet the requirements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Domestic students: 75 credits per semester or trimester<\/li>\n<li>International students on a student visa: 100 credits per semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Reducing-your-study-load---international-students-on-a-student-visa\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Reducing-your-study-load---international-students-on-a-student-visa\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Reducing-your-study-load---international-students-on-a-student-visa\">Reducing your study load &#8211; international students on a student visa<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Reducing-your-study-load---international-students-on-a-student-visa\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>If you are an international student and you are considering reducing your study load or your course has a study load of less than 100 credit points, you will need to submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/2232\">request to reduce your study load<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Approval for reducing your study load is valid for a single study period only.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to withdraw from units after the semester commences, you must seek approval to reduce your study load before you withdraw from any units.<\/p>\n<p>If you reduce your study load you may not complete your course within the expected course or visa duration and may need to apply for another student visa. If you have no formal approval to reduce your study load, you may have your request for a confirmation of enrolment (CoE) document declined. A CoE is required for further student visa application.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Maximum-time-to-complete-your-course\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Maximum-time-to-complete-your-course\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Maximum-time-to-complete-your-course\">Maximum time to complete your course<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Maximum-time-to-complete-your-course\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>You are required to complete your course within a specified period, which includes any time taken as a leave of absence.<\/p>\n<p>The course length (registered full time duration) is used to calculate this time.
