Fieldwork may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practical work placements<\/li>\n<li>Participation in laboratories and simulations<\/li>\n<li>Site visits and field trips<\/li>\n<li>Study tours<\/li>\n<li>Work experience<\/li>\n<li>Camps and excursions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A high proportion of the fieldwork activities are undertaken in partnership with other organisations and are designed to meet the requirements of the course, often set by the accrediting body for that course. As a student you must satisfactorily complete all fieldwork activities, pass assessment requirements and demonstrate attributes associated with professional conduct.<\/p>\n<p>These experiences are usually in the metropolitan area but may include rural or overseas placements. Settings include hospitals, residential care facilities, community health services, private businesses and clinics where you&#8217;ll deliver health and social services to the community, skills laboratories, government and non-government organisations, sporting facilities, schools, and local councils.<\/p>\n<p>Through these, and other authentic practical experiences offered at Curtin, you&#8217;ll learn from staff, industry and community role models, clients, patients and their carers.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Fieldwork-advice-and-resources\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Fieldwork-advice-and-resources\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Fieldwork-advice-and-resources\">Fieldwork advice and resources<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Fieldwork-advice-and-resources\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <div class=\"box__header\">\n<p class=\"box__header__title\">In the field, you will be representing yourself, your course or chosen profession, and Curtin University. You are expected to demonstrate professional attitudes and behaviour at all times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"box__content\">\n<p>As a student, you must satisfactorily complete all fieldwork activities, pass assessment requirements and demonstrate attributes associated with professional conduct.
