Curtin University certifies Sallie Mae loans explicitly for tuition fees only.<\/p>\n<p>If you are successful in obtaining a private loan, Curtin University will normally receive two cheques over the course of 12 months or the period of enrolment up to 12 months for each loan. The cheque is made co-payable to you and the University, and so Curtin will contact you once each cheque arrives to\u00a0organise\u00a0the deposit of the cheque.<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you make any changes to your enrolment, such as a leave of absence or course withdrawal,\u00a0you must email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:financialaid@curtin.edu.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">financialaid@curtin.edu.au<\/a>\u00a0to advise so that the necessary reporting adjustments can be made to your loan.<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Deferring loans<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:40,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Curtin University can approve deferments for students who have already received US Federal Student Loans. If you have in the past received a US federal student loan and you are enrolled at Curtin University on at least a part-time basis, you can apply to defer repayment of those loans.
