Scammers with a Mandarin accent are posing as employees of DHL Express, accusing students of criminal behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>The scammers claim that they have intercepted an international parcel with the students name and address on it. They also claim that the alleged parcel contains multiple bankcards, fake passports and has been used for criminal activities. Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scamwatch.gov.au\/news\/scammers-targeting-chinese-community-in-australia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scamwatch website<\/a> for more details about this scam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anyone contacted in this way should end the call and not disclose any personal information. You should also immediately report the scam to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scamwatch.gov.au\/report-a-scam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scamwatch<\/a>, and Curtin\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/selfservice.curtin.edu.au\/CherwellPortal\/SSP#0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IT Service Centre<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supports for students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are concerned for your safety or wellbeing, then you can contact the Safer Community Team on <strong>9266 4444<\/strong> for a confidential discussion. Alternatively, you can contact <a href=\"https:\/\/campaign.curtin.edu.au\/curtin-connect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curtin Connect<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guild.curtin.edu.au\/studentassist\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guild Student Assist<\/a> for support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips for students: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t answer phone calls from unknown and private caller IDs.
