{"id":7001,"date":"2018-08-17T02:09:44","date_gmt":"2018-08-16T18:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/new-pocketsafety-app-launches-students\/"},"modified":"2022-12-07T13:08:53","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T05:08:53","slug":"new-pocketsafety-app-launches-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/new-pocketsafety-app-launches-students\/","title":{"rendered":"New pocketSafety app launches for students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We care about your safety at the Bentley Campus, that\u2019s why we\u2019ve launched the new pocketSafety app, so you can easily monitor or report any incidents or hazards straight from your mobile phone or tablet device.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve downloaded the pocketSafety app, you\u2019ll get access to its wide range of features, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to view campus incidents and hazards in real-time.<\/li>\n<li>Report incidents or hazards instantly from your phone.<\/li>\n<li>Use your camera or images from your photo gallery to attach photos to a report.<\/li>\n<li>Create a draft incident or hazard reports when you\u2019re offline and submit it when you\u2019re back online.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The pocketSafety app is free for both Apple and Android devices. You can download the free app from the iTunes store or Google Play store now.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To get started, just follow these one-off easy steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the free app for from the iTunes store or Google Play store.<\/li>\n<li>Once installed, open the pocketSafety.<\/li>\n<li>To get started, you\u2019ll need to set-up your connection settings first. To do this, select the red and yellow cloud icon next to the log in button.<\/li>\n<li>In connection settings, select \u2018Riskcloud Production\u2019. Once selected, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and enter \u20185100\u2019 as the access code. You\u2019ll then be re-directed back to the homepage where you can now log in.<\/li>\n<li>To log in, click the \u2018Log in\u2019 button. This will then take you to the riskcloud log in page. Here, you\u2019ll need to select the \u2018Single Sign-On Log in\u2019 button, this will take you directly to the Curtin Portal homepage.<\/li>\n<li>In the Curtin Portal homepage, use your current student ID and password to sign in.<\/li>\n<li>For added security, you\u2019ll then be asked to enter a four-digit pass code.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To find out more information about the pocketSafety app, click <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/healthandsafety.curtin.edu.au\/event_and_hazard\/index.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stay safe on campus.
