{"id":6060,"date":"2017-07-27T07:00:06","date_gmt":"2017-07-26T23:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/curtin-law-student-nominated-australian-law-awards\/"},"modified":"2022-12-07T13:07:58","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T05:07:58","slug":"curtin-law-student-nominated-australian-law-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/curtin-law-student-nominated-australian-law-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Curtin Law student nominated in the Australian Law Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Curtin Law School student is in the running to take out one of Australia\u2019s most coveted law awards.<\/p>\n<p>Curtin University student Claudia Carr, 22, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Law Student Lawyer of the Year category of the nationally recognised 2017 Australian Law Awards hosted by Lawyers Weekly, Australia\u2019s top publication for lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its 17th consecutive year, the Australian Law Awards recognise the industry\u2019s leading legal professionals and law firms \u2013 in a process that is fair, transparent, measurable, accurate and unbiased.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyers Weekly features editor, Emma Ryan, said the calibre of this year\u2019s submissions reflects the high level of expertise within the legal profession.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe competition throughout the legal profession is at an all-time high,\u201d Ms Ryan said. \u201cThe finalists for the 2017 Australian Law Awards highlights those who are going above and beyond for their firm and their clients, from the profession\u2019s most senior ranks to its rising stars. The business of law continues to go from strength to strength and we are grateful to be a part of it.
