{"id":5496,"date":"2015-12-02T08:26:02","date_gmt":"2015-12-02T00:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/students-depart-for-international-design-studio-experience\/"},"modified":"2022-12-07T13:07:31","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T05:07:31","slug":"students-depart-for-international-design-studio-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/students-depart-for-international-design-studio-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"Students depart for international design studio experience"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bags are packed and tickets issued for four of Curtin\u2019s urban and regional planning students, who are set to leave Perth to work with international design studio HASSELL in Hong Kong and Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>As recipients of <a href=\"http:\/\/dfat.gov.au\/people-to-people\/new-colombo-plan\/Pages\/new-colombo-plan.aspx\">New Colombo Plan scholarships<\/a>, Alice Baldock, Yasmin Harris, Benjamin Richardson and Michael Tran will work alongside HASSELL\u2019s industry experts on public transportation projects in the two cities.<\/p>\n<p>HASSELL is an award-winning international studio with offices across Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom. The project aims to foster a two-way flow of students between Australia and the Indo-Pacific, and part of this involves offering 100 scholarships for internships and mentorships at 38 host locations for periods of up to one year.
