{"id":4931,"date":"2014-06-25T06:15:37","date_gmt":"2014-06-24T22:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/agricola-gets-green-light\/"},"modified":"2024-09-13T14:02:32","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T06:02:32","slug":"agricola-gets-green-light","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/agricola-gets-green-light\/","title":{"rendered":"Agricola gets green light"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Curtin University has received $20 million funding from the State Government\u2019s Royalties for Regions program, to rebuild and expand Curtin\u2019s WA School of Mines\u2019 student accommodation in Kalgoorlie.<\/p>\n<p>The Royalties for Regions funding contributes to a $30 million investment that will expand the number of student housing places in Kalgoorlie from 135 to more than 230.<\/p>\n<p>Vice Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said the extra accommodation will provide more options to both Curtin and Goldfields Institute of Technology students and will ultimately help boost the number of students studying at the Kalgoorlie Campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRather than being housed in dormitory style buildings, students will have their own rooms and share lounge, bathroom and kitchen facilities with five others,&#8221;
