The Goldfields UDRH commenced NAIDOC Week celebrations by joining the Ulrich family on Country as part of an authentic bushfood foraging tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students and staff from the UDRH were joined by an additional 19 Curtin Medical School students to search, dig for, and sample Goldfields Honey Ants, as well as a shared campfire lunch consisting of traditional damper, vegetables, meat, salad and fruits. Our students participated in valuable discussions around the importance of being on Country for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people, and learned about the local plants and their traditional healing properties.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
