Our Nursing, OT, Physio, Pharmacy and Social Work students were recently joined by Curtin University\u2019s Health Science Pro Vice-Chancellor, Carlo Marra, and Assoc Prof. Clive Whalley, Dean, Indigenous Engagement, along with staff from Edith Cowan University\u2019s School of Nursing and Midwifery, as they headed out bush for a day-long cultural experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Country, they explored and dug for Witchetty Grubs (Maku) and shared a lunch that included homemade damper, stew and kangaroo tail by the fire. This experience allowed participants to connect deeply with the land, learn from our knowledgeable guides, participate in traditional activities, hear stories passed down through generations, and gain a profound understanding of the significance of the land to our community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
