{"id":31729,"date":"2026-07-27T14:48:48","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T06:48:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=oasis-news&#038;p=31729"},"modified":"2026-07-27T14:49:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T06:49:11","slug":"could-you-help-with-migraine-research","status":"publish","type":"oasis-news","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/could-you-help-with-migraine-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Could you help with migraine research?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Reading time: 1 minute<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are excited to share that the Capillary And inflammation modulation for Migraine (CALM) Study is now open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers at Curtin Medical Research Institute are currently recruiting for a clinical study investigating a new intervention that may help reduce migraine burden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may be eligible to take part if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have been clinically diagnosed with migraines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience at least four migraine days per month and have done so for the past three months<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are aged 18 years or older<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can attend three clinic visits over four months<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can complete fortnightly questionnaires<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are willing to take a daily treatment over a 16-week period<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking part in research helps improve our understanding of migraines and may contribute to better treatments and support for others in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interested in participating or know someone who would be?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;d like to learn more, discuss the study, or register your interest, contact the research team via 0420 342 482 or email <a href=\"mailto:CALMstudy@curtin.edu.au\">CALMstudy@curtin.edu.au<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This research has been approved by the Curtin University Human Research Ethics Committee (HRE2025-0528).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Take part in migraine research and help improve future treatments.
