Not confident enough. Not \u201ctalented enough\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Talent For Tomorrow has never been about being perfect. It\u2019s about putting yourself out there, trying something new, and surprising yourself with what could happen next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you sing, dance, play an instrument, perform spoken word, do comedy, or have a completely unexpected talent, this is your chance to step onto one of Curtin\u2019s biggest stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And for some students, that one audition has turned into something much bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It could open doors you never expected<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Past performers have gone on to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform at Curtin graduation ceremonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start bands and creative collaborations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Play gigs around Perth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build confidence performing live<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet other creatives and make new friends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invest prize money back into their passion projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>2024 winners, Aman Sidhu and Nishil Alex, originally auditioned just to \u201cgive it a go\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t think we\u2019d even get in,\u201d Aman says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, the pair have formed their band <em>Dreamline<\/em>, performed in front of thousands at Curtin graduations, and played at music venues across Perth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTalent For Tomorrow was the catalyst,\u201d Nishil says. \u201cWe probably wouldn\u2019t have done all this without it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their story is a reminder that sometimes opportunities start from simply saying yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You don\u2019t need to be professional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the biggest misconceptions about Talent For Tomorrow is that you need years of experience or a polished performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You really don\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year, students from completely different backgrounds audition with all kinds of talents and experience levels. Some have performed before, while others are stepping onto a stage for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event has featured singers, dancers, bands, cultural performances, comedians, spoken word artists and acts nobody expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf we can win it, anyone can,\u201d Aman says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important thing isn\u2019t perfection. It\u2019s being willing to try.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The prizes are worth it too<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s competition includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>$1,000 cash for first place<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The opportunity to perform at Curtin\u2019s 2026 Graduation Ceremonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Runner-up and People\u2019s Choice cash prizes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure in front of the Curtin community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>But beyond the prizes, many students walk away with something even bigger: confidence, connections and experiences they never expected from one audition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t let nerves stop you<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot of students almost audition, then convince themselves not to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Talent For Tomorrow is designed for students willing to step outside their comfort zone and share what they love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You never know what one performance, one crowd, or one opportunity could lead to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you\u2019ve been thinking about auditioning, this is your sign to go for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Auditions are now open<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Think you\u2019ve got what it takes?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether your talent is polished, chaotic, creative or completely unexpected, we want to see it.
