If Curtin\u2019s annual talent show, Talent For Tomorrow<\/em>, has been sitting in the back of your mind lately, consider this your reminder to actually go for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auditions are still open, but time is starting to tick down and if you haven\u2019t looked into it yet, now\u2019s probably the perfect time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you sing, dance, perform spoken word, play music, do comedy or have a talent that doesn\u2019t fit neatly into a category, Talent For Tomorrow is all about students putting themselves out there and having a go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And honestly, some of the best moments come from the people who almost didn\u2019t audition at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You never know where it could lead<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For some students, Talent For Tomorrow became way more than just one performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Past performers have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Started bands and creative projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Performed at Curtin graduation ceremonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Played gigs around Perth<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Met other creatives and collaborators<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Built confidence performing live<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Won cash prizes and invested back into their passions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    You don\u2019t need to have it all figured out<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    A lot of students think they need a perfect audition, professional setup or heaps of experience before applying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You really don\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Your audition can literally be filmed on your phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The judges aren\u2019t looking for perfection, they\u2019re looking for personality, creativity, confidence and students willing to take a chance on themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Different talents are encouraged. Different styles are encouraged. Being nervous is completely normal too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The important part is actually submitting something.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

    There\u2019s also a lot up for grabs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This year\u2019s competition includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • $1,000 cash for first place<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The opportunity to perform at Curtin\u2019s 2026 Graduation Ceremonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Runner-up and People\u2019s Choice cash prizes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • A huge live audience cheering you on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      But beyond the prizes, Talent For Tomorrow is also one of those university experiences you\u2019ll probably remember long after semester ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Keep your audition clear and easy to watch<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Show personality and confidence<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      • Don\u2019t overthink it too much<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Sometimes the best opportunities come from simply saying yes before you feel fully ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
