{"id":30985,"date":"2026-04-16T12:20:30","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T04:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=oasis-news&#038;p=30985"},"modified":"2026-04-20T12:26:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T04:26:01","slug":"craft-tomorrows-policies-today","status":"publish","type":"oasis-news","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/craft-tomorrows-policies-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Craft tomorrow\u2019s policies today"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reading time: 2 minutes<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you want to shape the decisions that govern your life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curtin University is offering an exclusive opportunity for one passionate student to take part in the <strong>Global Voices Fellowship Program<\/strong> at the 2026 IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand this October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is your chance to step into the world of policy, diplomacy and global decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Global Voices Fellowship?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Global Voices Fellowship is an intensive six-month program designed to build your understanding of global and domestic affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a fellow, you will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Travel to Canberra and join an international delegation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write a policy paper on an issue you care about<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage with high-level stakeholders, including MPs, academics and industry leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll gain first-hand insight into how decisions are made and how policy shapes real-world outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Curtin students can apply through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Global Voices open stream<\/strong> (national application pool), or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Curtin-specific stream<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI). If shortlisted, you\u2019ll be invited to complete a full application outlining a domestic policy gap you want to address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why you should apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is more than just a program.
