{"id":30705,"date":"2026-03-24T11:05:52","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T03:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=oasis-news&#038;p=30705"},"modified":"2026-03-18T13:02:55","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T05:02:55","slug":"use-your-ideas-for-good-at-the-design-jam","status":"publish","type":"oasis-news","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/use-your-ideas-for-good-at-the-design-jam\/","title":{"rendered":"Use your ideas for good at the Design Jam"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reading time:<\/strong> 1 min<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to make a real impact beyond campus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curtin students are invited to take part in a <strong>Design Jam on 16 April<\/strong>, where creativity and problem-solving will be used to develop ideas that strengthen how volunteer tutors and mentors are recruited and supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delivered in partnership with <strong>Achievers Club WA<\/strong> and <strong>Act Belong Commit<\/strong>, the event will bring together like-minded Curtin students and industry experts to tackle a meaningful challenge: supporting school students from <strong>low socio-economic backgrounds<\/strong> who may be experiencing learning or adjustment difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the day, you\u2019ll collaborate in teams, share ideas and explore practical solutions that can help strengthen tutoring programs and mentoring support for young people who need it most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re passionate about creating positive change, this is a chance to <strong>use your creativity and skills to contribute to something bigger than yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get involved<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Design Jam is <strong>open to all Curtin students<\/strong>, regardless of discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apply now to be part of a day of collaboration, creativity and real-world impact.
