I want to acknowledge the escalating conflict unfolding in the Middle East and the very real distress and uncertainty this conflict is creating, particularly for those trying to reach loved ones or waiting for news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curtin\u2019s diverse community includes many students with family and loved ones in Iran, as well as in other states across the region that have been impacted.  For them, this evolving situation will feel deeply personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know the effects of events like this are not always visible and the University may not be aware of every student who has personal connections to the region. At times like this, a quiet check\u2011in with a friend or classmate can make a real difference. If you notice someone who seems distressed or in need of support, please help them connect with our support services and wellbeing teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are personally affected and need flexibility or support in the coming days, please reach out to your course coordinator or student wellbeing services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
