{"id":30353,"date":"2026-03-16T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=oasis-news&#038;p=30353"},"modified":"2026-02-19T14:52:45","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T06:52:45","slug":"practical-workshops-to-help-beat-procrastination","status":"publish","type":"oasis-news","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/practical-workshops-to-help-beat-procrastination\/","title":{"rendered":"Practical workshops to help beat procrastination"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Reading time: 1 minute<\/em><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Struggling to get started or stay on track with your studies? <strong>Working Through Procrastination<\/strong> is a free, four\u2011week group program run by Curtin\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/personal-support\/counselling-wellbeing\/counselling\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/personal-support\/counselling-wellbeing\/counselling\/\">Psychological and Counselling team<\/a><\/strong>, designed to help you build practical skills to manage procrastination and reduce academic stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across four weekly <strong>90\u2011minute sessions<\/strong>, you\u2019ll learn how to better understand procrastination, develop effective strategies to get started, manage unhelpful thoughts and strong emotions, and explore mindfulness and self\u2011compassion techniques, all in a supportive group environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program dates (Weeks 10\u201313)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Session 1:<\/strong> Tuesday 21 April, 10:30am to 12:00pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Session 2:<\/strong> Tuesday 28 April, 10:30am to 12:00pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Session 3:<\/strong> Tuesday 5 May, 10:30am to 12:00pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Session 4:<\/strong> Tuesday 12 May, 10:30am to 12:00pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All sessions are located in <a href=\"https:\/\/campusmap.curtin.edu.au\/bentley\/?poi=1000462553\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/campusmap.curtin.edu.au\/bentley\/?poi=1000462553\">Building 109, Level 2<\/a>.
