It can become repetitive and make moving the body feel like a chore when we stick to the same thing time and time again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or maybe you simply don\u2019t enjoy other forms of working out that you have tried and are looking for something new to get your body moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever the reason for finding your fitness spark, Curtin Sport and Recreation offers exciting and non-traditional group fitness options that run several times a week, meaning there is always a time that can work for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forget the treadmill or running for a day or two and try one of these out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zumba<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An energetic and fun workout, Zumba is danced based exercise set to international music. A great option for anyone who enjoys more upbeat fitness, Zumba can help improve balance and coordination through its basic choreography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No matter your fitness level, you\u2019ll have no problem picking up Zumba, especially if you\u2019ve got some natural rhythm!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Zumba runs for an hour on Wednesdays at 6pm, Fridays at 8am and Saturdays at 10:30am in the group fitness room at Curtin Stadium (Building 111)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Body Balance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Body Balance mixes elements of meditative workouts such as Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi to create a workout of controlled movements. Body Balance can help improve core flexibility, strength and well-being while focusing the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You can join a Body Balance class in the group fitness room on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7am. Or at 6:30pm on a Monday, 4:30pm on a Thursday, and 11:30am on a Sunday.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Spin Class<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No need to cycle outside when you can do it in a fast paced, high energy and rewarding indoor spin cycling class. The classes are set to upbeat music and can help cardiovascular health and leg strength as workouts include both seated and standing exercises. A fun, and motivating environment that is perfect for anyone to try out thanks to the personalised seating adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Go for a spin on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30pm in the spin room at the stadium!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The options don\u2019t just stop there. Group fitness classes run between four and ten times a day, with options including yoga, Body Pump, Curtin fit and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/sport\/gym-2-2\/fitness-timetable-2-2\/\">Group Fitness webpage<\/a> to learn more about the full schedule and information on what each class is all about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if the gym isn\u2019t your thing, or you\u2019re looking for something even more unconventional, you could try out Disc Golf!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Disc Golf<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Disc Golf course is located on Edinburgh Oval South at Curtin University and is made up of 18 tees.
