It’s easy to forget that looking after your wellbeing is just as important as nailing your next assignment.

The good news? We’ve got you covered. There are some fantastic on-campus and online activities that are designed to help you relax, connect with others and take care of your mental and physical health. Here are five activities to check out if you need a break or want to enhance your wellbeing:

1. Attend a Lunchtime Life Skills Webinar

You know the saying, ‘prevention is better than cure’? Well, that’s exactly what our Lunchtime Life Skills webinar series is all about. These free online sessions, running until 9 October, are designed to offer practical tips and strategies to navigate the typical challenges of university life. Whether it’s managing stress, improving study-life balance, or just getting some solid life advice, these webinars have you covered.

The best part? You don’t even have to catch them live. If you register, you’ll receive a recorded copy so you can watch it whenever suits your schedule.

2. Chill out with your friends at a Barefoot Lunch

Our Barefoot Lunches are the perfect remedy to that mid-semester plateau. Throughout the semester on select Thursdays, you can ditch your shoes, bring along your lunch (or grab a bite from a food truck), and settle into some cozy cushions on the lawn.

It’s more than just a lunch break; it’s an opportunity to unwind and reconnect with friends or meet new ones. If you’ve been cooped up in the library or just need to de-stress, grab a mate and head down for some sun, live music, games and chill vibes.

3. Drop by the Comfort Corner

Feeling like you need a chat or a break from the solo study grind? The Comfort Corner is your go-to spot. Hosted in the library (Level 4 Room 434b), this is a weekly, student-led wellbeing session where you can drop in for a casual conversation with your peers or just take a breather. Whether you’re up for some social games or simply want to relax and chat with a student mentor, you’ll find something to suit.

Running on Thursdays and Fridays from 12pm to 2pm, this is a great way to make new connections and feel more grounded.

4.
