Thinking about how to save money at university this year? There\u2019s lots of information out there about how budgeting and getting a second job can bring in some extra cash, but sometimes the solution doesn\u2019t always lie in cutting back on spending or giving up your much-needed study time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ever thought about a scholarship? Applying for a scholarship not only allows you to spend more time on studying and living your best #CurtinLife, but it can also give you the upper hand when starting out in your career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are four reasons why you should consider applying for a scholarship this semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#1 Sweet, sweet financial relief<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the most obvious benefits of getting a scholarship is the financial relief it can bring. Scholarships can cover the cost of student-related expenses, such as textbooks, housing or laptops, which means you can stress less about money matters and focus more on succeeding in your studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2 Grow your confidence<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Applying for a merit-based scholarship is a great exercise in learning how to sell yourself and recognising your skills, strengths and qualities.
