Emotional self-care activities are intended to help you connect, process and reflect on your emotions.<\/p>\n<p>You might need some extra help to lift your spirits during this time, which is why Spiritual self-care practices may come in handy. Remember, self-care is important to enhance your energy, restore health and reduce stress, so have a go at one of the activities to start the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emotional <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ask three good friends to give your positive feedback. What do they love about you?<\/li>\n<li>Dedicate a week to saying only positive things on your favourite social media channel.<\/li>\n<li>If you need a good, body-shaking cry, watch sad movies or listen to sad songs.<\/li>\n<li>Unfollow or mute toxic \u201cfriends\u201d in your social media feeds.<\/li>\n<li>Remove any equipment or appliances that make you feel bad about yourself, such as the bathroom scale.<\/li>\n<li>Remind yourself of the good stuff in life by writing a list of things you\u2019re grateful to have.<\/li>\n<li>Tell your pet all of your darkest secrets. Your pet&#8217;s nonchalance will remind you that you\u2019re going to be okay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Spiritual <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend a spiritual community service.<\/li>\n<li>Make time for meditation in your day.<\/li>\n<li>Do something nice for someone in secret.<\/li>\n<li>Donate money to a charity of your choosing.<\/li>\n<li>Read some spiritual literature.<\/li>\n<li>Try random acts of kindness.<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer at a local shelter, hospital or nursing home.<\/li>\n<li>Soften your expectations of you and others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Download the BE WELL App on the <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/au\/app\/be-well-at-curtin-university\/id1554460013\">App Store<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.uniwellbeing.bewell\">Google Play<\/a> for wellness advice at your fingertips.
