John Curtin, Australia\u2019s 14th prime minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 20-hour online course titled <a href=\"https:\/\/creds.curtin.edu.au\/courses\/john-curtins-vision-legacy-and-leadership-2025\"><em>John Curtin\u2019s Vision: Legacy and Leadership<\/em><\/a>, has been developed by the Faculty of Humanities and examines Curtin\u2019s role during World War II, his leadership style and his &nbsp;impact on modern Australia, while also strengthening connections to Curtin University\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curtin Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne said the free course was designed for professionals working across the private and public sectors to further their professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis Curtin initiative is about more than history, it\u2019s about inspiring future leaders through the lens of one of the nation\u2019s most influential figures,\u201d Professor Hayne said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe<strong> <\/strong>course will also benefit history enthusiasts, political scientists, journalists and educators seeking a deeper understanding of the legacy of Australia\u2019s greatest Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJohn Curtin\u2019s leadership during one of Australia\u2019s most challenging periods offers timeless lessons in resilience and vision.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expert historian Dr Andr\u00e9 Brett, Lecturer of History in Curtin\u2019s School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry, said the history, philosophy and values of Curtin have enduring relevance for dealing with current issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy revisiting Curtin\u2019s political ascent and his leadership during wartime, we gain insights into the kind of courage and clarity needed in today\u2019s world,\u201d Dr Brett said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis course is a bridge between the past and the future, with lessons about leadership under pressure. Curtin confronted uncertainty with ambition and determination.
