{"id":24390,"date":"2024-04-11T15:16:33","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T07:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=media-release&#038;p=24390"},"modified":"2024-04-11T15:17:28","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T07:17:28","slug":"curtin-shines-bright-in-global-rankings","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-shines-bright-in-global-rankings\/","title":{"rendered":"Curtin shines bright in global rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Curtin University has maintained its position as the world\u2019s second-ranked university and number one in Australia for mineral and mining engineering for the eighth year in a row in the 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest edition, released overnight, shows Curtin achieved a ranking in 31 narrow subject fields with 18 ranked in the top 200 globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five Curtin subjects continued to be named among the top 50 on the planet: mineral and mining engineering (2nd), earth and marine science (37th), geology (39th), geophysics (42nd) and petroleum engineering (49th).
