Curtin University has climbed 14 places in the latest global 2020-21 University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP).<\/p>\n
The University achieved the world ranking of 206, up from 220 last year, and remained ninth in Australia for the sixth consecutive year, according to the latest results.<\/p>\n
Curtin University Vice-Chancellor Professor John Cordery welcomed Curtin\u2019s results in the important research ranking, which measures the world\u2019s top 3000 universities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an outstanding result that demonstrates the University\u2019s commitment to international collaborations that produce high quality research,\u201d Professor Cordery said<\/p>\n
\u201cThe University will continue to undertake important research that is making a genuine difference to local, national and global communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis URAP ranking result caps off an excellent year for Curtin on the global stage, in which it has risen in a number of prestigious world rankings, including the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings, Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), CWTS Leiden Ranking, US News & World Report Best Global University Rankings, and the QS Top 50 under 50.”<\/p>\n
The URAP is a research-only ranking using indicators that measure the quality, quantity and impact of publications, as well as international collaboration.<\/p>\n
The annual ranking is published by the Informatics Institute at the Middle East Technical University, in Turkey.<\/p>\n
