Curtin University has congratulated its Learning Futures Advisor for being named on The Educator\u2019s <\/em>annual Hot List 2019, which recognises Australia\u2019s leaders in the education sector.<\/p>\n

Mr Kim Flintoff, from Curtin Learning and Teaching, has been selected among the influencers who are reinventing the education landscape across the country.<\/p>\n

The selection reflects Mr Flintoff\u2019s work as a catalyst and driver of several innovative educational communities across Western Australia, Australia and the world. Under his leadership, the Learning Futures Network has grown to almost 180 member organisations in just two years.<\/p>\n

Curtin University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Professor Jill Downie congratulated Mr Flintoff on being recognised in the annual list.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Curtin\u2019s Learning Futures Advisor, Mr Flintoff\u2019s role involves developing innovative solutions that are aligned with the University\u2019s strategic vision of teaching and learning,\u201d Professor Downie said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to congratulate him on being named among Australia\u2019s leading education professionals for his role in ensuring students have the highest-quality educational experiences as part of the 2019 annual list.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Flintoff said he was delighted to be acknowledged among many of Australia\u2019s finest contributors to the education sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a real honour to be recognised on The Educator<\/em>\u2019s Hot List 2019 alongside many champions of education across Australia,\u201d Mr Flintoff said.<\/p>\n

Mr Flintoff was named on the annual list in recognition of his tireless efforts to make authentic connections between all levels of schools, universities, museums and other relevant organisations to support the education of people around the globe.<\/p>\n

He was also recognised for his ground-breaking use of 21st<\/sup>-century technology and hands-on, project-based learning at Curtin, as well as actively facilitating the sharing of best practice to guide leaders and empower students.<\/p>\n
