Curtin Singapore has hosted an inaugural discussion as part of a new thought-provoking series that aims to connect tomorrow\u2019s graduates with leaders in their field.<\/p>\n
The first Thought Leaders Series, titled \u2018Developing a career and leading business in a rapidly changing world<\/em>\u2019, was presented by Cistri Regional Director Peter Hyland last night.<\/p>\n Curtin Singapore Pro Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Linley Lord said the Thought Leaders Series would be held each trimester for Curtin students and graduates in Singapore.<\/p>\n \u201cCurtin Singapore and the University\u2019s Alumni Singapore Chapter are excited to announce this new initiative, the Thought Leaders Series,\u201d Professor Lord said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe series aims to connect students with organisational leaders and alumni to stimulate discussion, debate and critical thinking whilst exploring various topics including leadership, business, innovation and entrepreneurship.\u201d<\/p>\n Professor Lord said Mr Hyland discussed the opportunities that are emerging for university graduates in the 21st century.<\/p>\n \u201cPeter shared his story of progressing from a graduate government employee to working for global consultancies, and leading the growth of a new venture into a significant international business,\u201d Professor Lord.<\/p>\n \u201cHe provided Curtin students and graduates valuable insights into identifying opportunities, developing career mentors and dealing with challenges when growing a business, offering them additional tips to support their personal and professional development.\u201d<\/p>\n The inaugural Thought Leaders Series was held at Curtin Singapore last night.<\/p>\n For more information about Mr Hyland, visit here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
