Curtin University will work with the Muresk Institute to strengthen Western Australia\u2019s agriculture industries following today\u2019s signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement.<\/p>\n
The MoU between Curtin and VET (WA) Ministerial Corporation (trading as the Department of Training and Workforce Development, Muresk Institute) will see both parties work together to build the capacity of WA\u2019s agricultural industries through research and development as well as higher education.<\/p>\n
Curtin Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said the three-year MoU bolstered the University\u2019s long-standing commitment to agriculture education and research.<\/p>\n
\u201cCurtin has a strong history and commitment to teaching and research in agriculture in WA and is focussed on growing our agriculture research base, developing skills for the agriculture and food sectors and supporting growth within the sector,\u201d Professor Terry said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMuresk seeks to work with Curtin to cultivate synergies between courses offered at Muresk and Curtin\u2019s Agribusiness degree with the goal to offer students recognised credit transfer and streamlined articulation pathways.<\/p>\n
