{"id":18640,"date":"2016-08-04T07:45:05","date_gmt":"2016-08-03T23:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/education-graduates-recognised-awards-night\/"},"modified":"2022-12-06T09:18:57","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T01:18:57","slug":"education-graduates-recognised-awards-night","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/education-graduates-recognised-awards-night\/","title":{"rendered":"Education graduates recognised at Awards Night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Curtin University education graduates were recently recognised at the School of Education\u2019s 2016 Awards Night, honouring their academic achievements and commitment to the field of teaching.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-36619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Group-Photo_School-of-Ed-awards.jpg\" alt=\"Group Photo_School of Ed awards\" \/>Associate Professor Lina Pelliccione, Head of School of Education at Curtin, explained the awards were earned by the students through their sustained and outstanding efforts while completing their course of study.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe award winners demonstrated, in their studies and in practice, their passion and authentic commitment to their field and to the people they have chosen to help, support, guide and serve,\u201d Associate Professor Pelliccione said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe School of Education\u2019s 2016 Awards Night ceremony celebrates these achievements and publicly recognises the students\u2019 efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year, 19 students from the bachelors, masters and PhD programs were recognised across 22 award categories.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Briotti was presented with five awards on the night, acknowledging her accomplishments while studying a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education.
