{"id":17814,"date":"2011-10-03T02:52:26","date_gmt":"2011-10-02T18:52:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-student-gets-chogm-experience\/"},"modified":"2025-07-07T15:48:21","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T07:48:21","slug":"curtin-student-danielle-han-gains-public-relations-experience-at-chogm-2011","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-student-danielle-han-gains-public-relations-experience-at-chogm-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Curtin student Danielle Han gains public relations experience at CHOGM 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Curtin University student Danielle Han will be making an important contribution to the smooth running of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Perth this month.<\/p>\n<p>The final year mass communication student, who is majoring in web media and public relations, is volunteering in the CHOGM media pool and centre.<\/p>\n<p>Danielle, who is currently living in Morley, is an international student from Singapore \u2013 one of the Commonwealth nations represented at CHOGM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am looking forward to being in the midst of the busy and serious atmosphere that comes with these important international meetings,\u201d Danielle said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I&#8217;m hoping to catch a glimpse of some high profile political leaders in person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Danielle is one of 21 Curtin public relations students who will be helping out in the media centre at CHOGM, undertaking a variety of duties from escorting journalists to media conferences and assisting at conferences.
