More than 100 WA high school students visited Curtin University of Technology recently to experience the wonders of science.<\/p>\n
Curtin Science Outreach Coordinator, Emma Donnelly, said students were given the chance to experience a range of science activities in areas such as nanotechnology, pharmacy and spatial sciences.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe goal of the three-day program was to introduce the students to some of the wonders of science,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
While there, the students were also told about the many science courses offered by Curtin and the career opportunities that exist for science graduates.<\/p>\n
Armadale Senior High School student Kirsty Smith said she was considering studying science at university.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe three days were really fun and I\u2019m glad that I participated,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Kirsty said she found pharmacy and biology the most interesting subjects she experienced at Curtin.<\/p>\n
