The Garden of Eden and childhood memories have inspired the work of a local fashion student\u2019s collection which will be featured at Australia\u2019s biggest fashion trade fair in Sydney next month.<\/p>\n
Curtin University of Technology student, Lauren Hung, will showcase her spring\/summer collection from her label Eve of Adam<\/em> at Fashion Exposed.<\/p>\n She\u2019s also one of 12 emerging designers selected from across Australia to participate in a special competition, Debut, at the event.<\/p>\n Ms Hung, of East Perth, said her new collection was an amalgamation of all the design ideas she had explored while studying fashion and textiles at Curtin.<\/p>\n “The vintage lifestyle collection fuses flattering, low-back silk dresses with innovative, simplistic shifts and camisoles to pay tribute to the innocence and playfulness of childhood,” she said.<\/p>\n “The collection features white silks and cottons and highlights of peach and marble grey.”<\/p>\n “This particular collection was inspired by my childhood memories and pays homage to running amuck in golden wheat fields on our family friend\u2019s farm.”<\/p>\n Ms Hung said she hoped her involvement in Fashion Exposed and the Debut competition would help kick start her career.<\/p>\n “I know that thousands of people visit the fashion fair so this opportunity will be a great launch-pad towards realising my dream of making my brand recognised nationally.” Ms Hung said.<\/p>\n Fashion Exposed opens at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour on February 14.
