However, family names have actually moved and don&#8217;t necessarily indicate the ancestry or country of origin of a family due to the removal and transplanting of families from their country.<\/p>\n<p>The John Curtin Gallery is currently presenting Brook Andrew: Eye to Eye, as part of FotoFreo 2008. The exhibition spans the artist&#8217;s practice over the past decade.<br \/>\nAndrew has created a powerful body of work that challenges dominant points of view regarding Indigenous people and issues of identity, history, traditional culture and language.<\/p>\n<p>Presenting partners: Penrith Regional Gallery  &amp; the Lewers Bequest and the John Curtin Gallery.<br \/>\nA Monash University Museum of Art Touring Exhibition.<br \/>\nUniversity partner: Centre for Aboriginal Studies.<\/p>\n<p>The John Curtin Gallery is open to the public and entry is free.
