Library Illuminates: Creative in Residence 2026
Theme: Creative Curiosity<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semester 1, 2026 Placement (12-week program)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TL Robertson Library is the beating heart of Curtin University. We provide a welcoming and inclusive space that inspires creativity, deepens understandings and fosters connections. Our goal is to provide an outstanding Library experience, reinvigorate our lively community, and infuse the space with warmth, life and playfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We welcome you to bring your creativity<\/strong> and explore our Library with curiosity<\/strong>, to discover hidden gems in our collections, spaces and culture. Engage with our community to bridge physical and digital realms and take the opportunity to innovate and create something that enhances the Library experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who should apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We welcome applications from creative practitioners with a background in any art form, an interest in community engagement and genuine curiosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All applicants must be currently enrolled at Curtin University (at any level), and propose a project from any creative field, including, but not limited to: performance artists, visual artists, creative writers, film producers, digital media artists, sound artists and virtual reality creatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can apply as a partnership, and cross-disciplinary projects are encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The successful applicant will be expected to engage with the Library community (staff, students, public) through workshops, talks and other activities as appropriate for their project proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
