{"id":2998,"date":"2026-05-13T16:40:46","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T08:40:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/jcg\/?post_type=events&#038;p=2998"},"modified":"2026-05-14T13:10:57","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T05:10:57","slug":"reconciliation-week-tour-once-known","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/jcg\/events\/reconciliation-week-tour-once-known\/","title":{"rendered":"Reconciliation Week Tour: Once Known"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Currently showing at the Old Perth Boys\u2019 School,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/jcg\/exhibitions\/carrolup-once-known\/\"><em>Once Known<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;presents reproductions of the delicate and culturally significant artworks created by Aboriginal children forcibly taken from their families and detained at the Carrolup Native Settlement in the 1940s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lost overseas for over 60 years, these artworks came home to Noongar Boodja, providing the opportunity for sharing truth, healing, and reconciliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the beauty of art and recognition of place and time, this tour will offer a glimpse into the past and remind us of our journey together on a path of reconciliation.
