About the Academy<\/h2>\n \n \n

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy of WA (YEAWA) is a new initiative developed by six industry leading organisations united by a single vision – to develop the capacity of young people to thrive and flourish in a rapidly changing world through the promotion and development of entrepreneurial skillsets, mindsets and ambitions.<\/p>\n

The organisations involved in this joint venture collectively aim to contribute to a diversified and future focused workforce that leads to the development of the economy for the circular benefit of all.<\/p>\n

The Malka Foundation, Curtin University, Spacecubed, St Catherine\u2019s College, All Saints College\u2019 Beyond Boundaries Institute and the Education Department have formed this pioneering collaboration with support from the Meshpoints network, supported by Spacecubed and Lotterywest, which brings together key stakeholders to build a stronger culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Western Australia.<\/p>\n

The research which underpins the Young Entrepreneurs Academy is based on the principles and goals of the Alice Springs (Mparntwe) Education Declaration document signed by all state and federal ministers for education in 2019.<\/p>\n

This declaration outlines the education goals for all young Australians and is the national blueprint for education policy and practice in the following years across all states.<\/p>\n

\u2018To develop confident and creative individuals who have developed, alongside their academic skills and knowledge, a set of capabilities that see them able to recognise, adapt to and manage change in a VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) and to show initiative, to use their creative abilities and to be enterprising\u2019. (Ref Mparntwe Dec 2019).<\/em><\/p>\n
