Yet participation in angel investing remains relatively low in Western Australia compared to other regions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curtin University has developed the Curtin Angel Syndicate to address this problem, providing a mechanism for the founders supported through our Entrepreneur pipeline to access capital from angel investors drawn from the Curtin community, and for prospective investors to gain an education around the process of angel investing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Join?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefits of joining the Curtin Angel Syndicate include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Invest in the next generation of innovative companies emerging from the Curtin Entrepreneur ecosystem<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gain insights from and access to experienced investors <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Joining the syndicate ensures that you have access to deals; there is no obligation to invest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you do choose to invest, there is a low minimum investment of $5,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential Tax Incentives for investment in Early Stage Innovation Companies (ESIC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Curtin?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Curtin University is the largest graduating public university in Western Australia with an alumni network consisting of 280,000 national and international graduates and annual enrolments of over 50,000 students per year. We also have a strong track record in research excellence with 95 per cent of our research output being rated at or above world standard in the last Excellence in Research for Australia results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of this, the scale of Curtin University supported by our dedicated Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship team enables a strong pipeline of deal flow. Over 100+ startup ideas are nurtured each year through our entrepreneur programs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/study\/professional-development\/executive-education\/ignition\">Curtin Ignition<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/engage\/entrepreneurs\/accelerate\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3074\">Curtin Accelerate<\/a>.
