Robo Academy

Young school aged students at roboacademy

School holiday workshops for children interested in coding and robotics. With beginners, intermediate and advanced sessions, students have fun learning how to program LEGO Mindstorm robots.

Robo Academy BLAST workshops run for 1 day, 9am to 2pm at the Curtin University Bentley campus. The workshops are recommended for students aged 8-13 years old and have a maximum of 25 participants. Students should choose the appropriate workshop for their level of experience:

Ever wanted to know how to build a robot? Come along to Robo Academy BLAST and you’ll learn how to use LEGO Spike Prime robots from the ground up!

Or perhaps you have already used LEGO robots and you want to advance further, not problem. Our mentors will be able to cater for different skill levels in the same class, tailoring higher level challenges for more advanced students, while still supporting kids who have never done it before.

Workshops are run by Curtin FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) mentors and students, and all the money raised goes towards the FRC 4788 Team. BYO lunch and water bottle.
