Our researchers have helped develop the Telehealth Hub, to improve health care access and availability for regional and remote communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Telehealth – the practice of assessing patients remotely using videoconference, digital photography, instant messaging or other technology – is seen as a possible way to address health system challenges created by the pandemic.
The Telehealth Hub lets health care providers, patients and carers meet each other and access care virtually. It also brings together information on telehealth technology.
The hub was built together with researchers from the Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre and La Trobe University in Melbourne.
