This topic should differ from one they unpacked in a previous assessment.<\/li>\n<li>When researching their chosen challenge, students should gather data from multiple sources and analysing contradicting information, bias, accuracy and diversity in sources.<\/li>\n<li>Using Adobe Express, students transform research findings into infographics, being mindful of their target audience.<\/li>\n<li>Check-ins may be required to ensure students have appropriate access to Adobe Express and their chosen challenge is suitable for the assessment. They are becoming storytellers. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW260154520 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-AU\" xml:lang=\"EN-AU\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW260154520 BCX0\">Many of the online artifacts are gorgeous, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW260154520 BCX0\">very creative<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW260154520 BCX0\">, and spot on with insightful perspectives.<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faculty of Science and Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n                    \n                                \n                        <\/article>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/mimas-block>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dom&#8217;s example assessment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About my unit:<\/strong> Faculty of Science and Engineering | 100-150 students | In-Person | Individual work&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this assessment, my Earth Resources and Sustainability students act as community outreach officers and create visual case studies demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of energy strategies, their socio-economic and environmental implications, and the global context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The case studies need to explain the topic in a compelling and easy-to-understand way. Students are required to use Adobe Express for this assessment and are encouraged to use media, interactive elements and engaging visuals to analyse and communicate complex data and findings effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For their specific case study infographic, students must answer the following questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What is it and why is it important for society\/economy?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why is its present use\/implementation unsustainable?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the environmental\/societal\/economic implications?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can the activity\/matter become more sustainable?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the challenges to render the topic more sustainable? Is it actually viable, or would we have to look for an alternative?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My advice<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this assessment to run effectively, I recommend breaking the task into clear stages and providing students with a thorough brief to clarify the purpose and target audience. Some students will be using Adobe Express for the first time, so provide \u2018how-to\u2019 resources and link to the digital tool required.
