Pharmacy Gala Dinner – 50 Years of Innovation

On 7 October, the School of Pharmacy held their 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner at Frasers State Reception Centre to celebrate the School’s relationship with, and contribution to, the pharmacy profession in WA over the past five decades.

The School hosted 170 guests, including the Vice Chancellor, Professor Deborah Terry, three of the five previous Heads of School, Geoff Tucker, Bruce Sunderland and Jeff Hughes, and Honorary DSc, Michael McManus. The evening featured a three course dinner, with a pharmacy-themed dessert, an historical slideshow and reflective speeches by Pharmacy Alumni, Richard Smirk and Tin Fei Sim. Most importantly, the lively buzz all evening demonstrated the rekindling of friendships amongst the School’s community.
