To celebrate 50 Years of Innovation at Curtin Library, 55 former and 52 current Library staff came together at the Robertson Library on Tuesday 18 July to share their memories of the Library through the years. The inaugural University Librarian, Geoffrey Allen, former University Librarian, Imogen Garner and current University Librarian, Catherine Clark shared highlights and challenges from their time at Curtin.
An afternoon tea was accompanied by a slideshow of images dating back to the first days of the WAIT Library and a novelty photo booth gave guests the opportunity to mingle, share old memories and also make new ones. Video interviews of former staff were also recorded. The event concluded with a tour of the Library and the new medical school with former staff noting how different some of the spaces are compared to previous years.
