Former Prime Minister the Honourable Julia Gillard delivered the annual John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library Anniversary Lecture this year, attracting a record audience of over 1,200 guests. The lecture was titled ‘Great reform requires courage’. It acknowledged former Prime Minister John Curtin’s mental health challenges, and highlighted the work being done to alleviate the stigma associated with mental health issues by today’s governments and not-for-profit organisations.
