To celebrate 50 Years of Innovation, the history of WAIT/Curtin is being brought to life at our Bentley, Kalgoorlie, Sarawak and Singapore campuses and beyond, through various activities and displays. Most recently, historical timelines highlighting key organisational milestones have gone up on our campuses and large illustrations of key history-makers have started to appear on the external walls of buildings. Still to come are ‘A drop of history’ coffee cups and an exhibition of WAIT/Curtin historical objects that will be on show at the Bentley campus in the second half of the year.
The anniversary was also promoted in Perth city in April with the display of 50 Years of Innovation flags along St George’s Terrace. These will appear again later in the year.
These are just some of the ways Curtin is celebrating the innovative spirit that has seen us evolve over five decades into the vibrant, global university we are today.
