Leadership at Curtin
Employers are demanding more and more of new graduates. It is no longer enough to be knowledgeable in your chosen field. Industry is now expecting new graduates to be skilled in leadership, teamwork, cultural awareness and social responsibility. This industry expectation is inbuilt in a Curtin education.
From 2016 all our courses will include leadership as part of the core curriculum. Voluntary leadership training and experience is also offered through the Curtin Leadership Centre. Through workshops, practical leadership experience and the John Curtin Leadership Academy (JCLA), our graduates leave university ready to become leaders in their field.
In this video Curtin Leadership Centre Academic Director, Linley Lord explains Curtin University's strategic plan for all Curtin students to participate in leadership programs. We also hear from business school student Shelley Cable and JCLA graduate Christopher Mewburn.
